Designer Profile Candice Cameron
Artist and designer, Candice Cameron is sole proprietor of Artisan Murals &Design. Passionate about her work, and a diversified artist, she offers her clients one-stop design service.
The award-winning Crescent Café located in downtown McMinnville; is an example of her one-stop design philosophy. Voted as “Best Renovation or Expansion” by the 2007 Best of Mac reader survey and receiving the McMinnville Downtown Association’s “Outstanding New Signage” awards were the result of Candice’s creative vision.
According to restaurant owner Michael McKenney, Candice designed everything in the café, from floor to ceiling. And he means everything! Artisan Murals not only did the décor, but Candice painted the three-panel mural, designed the business logo, created the children’s coloring sheets, designed and painted the outdoor signage and even sewed the draperies.
With a Master’s Degree from WOU in Art Education, she was a high school art teacher for many years. In the classroom, she taught drawing, design, painting, printmaking and calligraphy. As a yearbook advisor she developed an understanding of graphic design, page layout and typography.
In addition to the visual arts, Candice has had a life-long interest in interior design. With years of experience advising friends and family on their decorating needs, in 2008 she took her interest to the next level by earning her Custom Interior Decorator certification from Heritage School of Interior Design. She comes from a long-line of seamstresses and finds that her experience with textiles, along with her other skills, enable her to help her clients achieve the perfect ambiance for their spaces.
She, her husband and two adult children are native Oregonians who love the natural vistas and picturesque vineyards so common to the Willamette Valley. She treasures time with her family & enjoys traveling with her husband.
Candice feels privileged to share her expertise as a designer and artist with others. She is a professional and enjoys collaborating with clients to achieve a custom design to satisfy their unique needs.
